A very small Cheshire team gave a good account of themselves. Pride of place goes to Emily Brown who took another silver medal in the steeplechase. Season's bests were achieved by Peter Morgan in the 400 and Lucy Evans in the 200m. With the points scored by Emily and Lucy - who made both sprint finals - Cheshire women retained their place in the top division of counties.
However, despite the valient efforts of Dave McKay whose final round throw pulled him up to 6th place, the lack of numbers in the men's team meant that relegation from the top division was inevitable.
